Bob Gaudio one of the great songwriters

Bob Gaudio is one of the great songwriters of our time, yet the least recognized. You read and hear about Wilson, Lennon, Spector, McCartney and others, but when do you hear about Gaudio. Gaudio has not only written for his bands The Royal Teens and The Four Seasons, but for many top artists as well as produced. He definitely started out much younger then the above names mentioned and with success when he was just 15 years old. Yeah ok, so the first hit song was SHORT SHORTS. Very few lyrics, chanty, great instrumentation for its time, reached #3 on the Billboard chart and within a ten year period his Four Seasons Band sold over 50 million records by the late 1960’s. Let’s not forget his three number one hit records ruling the number one Billboard chart position for 18 weeks, and he also wrote the fifth most played song of the 20th century.

I’m BEGGIN, (oh that’s also the title of a Gaudio classic song that has made its successful way into the 21st century by many artist) give this true American talented genius of a songwriter his due credit.
